OPEN HOUSE

Open House will be on Thursday, 16 September beginning at 5:30 p.m.  All parents are urged to attend.  At this time Mrs. Wynter will discuss her plans for this Academic Year and you will also have the opportunity of meeting with the Subject Area teachers.   You will also meet with your classroom teacher(s) who will fill you in on what to expect during this year!

You will also be asked to vote for your class representative.  This is a most rewarding position but it is also time consuming!  Please do not volunteer to do it if you do not have the time!

 

NEW SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS

The school's new email address is sthughsprep@gmail.com.  Please send us a message at this address so that you can be added to our email list.  We will continue to use our old email address but it will be phased out during this term.

 

 

NATIONAL GRADE 1 REGISTRATION

There will be a national registration of all Grade 1 students beginning in September 2010.
 
The Ministry has now supplied the documents that are to be completed by parents. The forms are pre-numbered and this number will be assigned to your child and will follow him/her through to high school.  In addition to the original birth certificate (with a copy) and a copy of the immunization card we must also provide a copy of an ID for parents.  Please bring in a copy of either your driver's license, passport (showing photo and ID information pages) or National Voters ID card.  The form required detailed information that you must submit.  Please come in to collect and fill out your form.  We are NOT sending them home as we are UNABLE to provide extra copies. All forms are to be completed at school no later than Friday, 17 September.

 

LEARN TO PLAY FOOTBALL

Learn to play football has been added to our menu of extra curricular offerings.  The club is open to students in our K1 - Grade 3 classes.  Plese check our extra curricular schedule for details.

 

 

CONTACT INFORMATION

Several of our student files are out of date.  We have incorrect telephone and mail contact information on file.  IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY WE WILL BE UNABLE TO CONTACT YOU.    If you have new contact information, please print a copy of our re-registration form and return it to the school office.

 

 

 

JAMAICA NATIONAL (JN) SCHOOL SAVERS PLAN

Just a reminder that you can open a JN School Saver Plan for your child at school!  Accounts can be opened with as little $100.  Banking days are on Wednesdays and you are encouraged to have your child come to the office on Wednesdays to deposit funds to their account.  Once you receive your passbook it can be taken to any JN branch for updating!  Please help your child develop good savings habits while also supporting your school!
